NUST CGPA to Percentage Guide for Pakistani Students
A practical guide to estimating NUST CGPA to percentage for applications, scholarships, and job forms in Pakistan.
Published 3 June 2026 · 2 min readNUST students are often asked to enter marks in percentage form when applying for scholarships, government jobs, overseas admissions, or employer forms. If your transcript only shows CGPA, you need a transparent estimate and a way to explain the formula you used.
Quick Answer
For many Pakistani 4.0-scale use cases, a common estimate is:
Percentage = CGPA x 25
So a CGPA of 3.20 becomes 80 percentage, while a CGPA of 3.50 becomes 87.50 percentage.
Important Caveat
NUST, like other universities, may issue its own grading policy, transcript notes, or equivalence instructions. Use the calculator for a quick estimate, but confirm with your department, transcript back page, or registrar before submitting an official application.
Example Table
| CGPA | Estimated Percentage | | --- | --- | | 2.80 | 70 percentage | | 3.00 | 75 percentage | | 3.20 | 80 percentage | | 3.50 | 87.50 percentage | | 3.80 | 95 percentage |
When This Estimate Helps
- FPSC, PPSC, NTS, and other job application forms
- Scholarship eligibility checks
- Overseas admission forms that ask for marks percentage
- Comparing a CGPA transcript with percentage-based requirements
Best Practice
